WEBSITE
Open House Journal
I styled this website as an e-magazine with a cover page that rotates pictures for the various stories inside.
The stories I wrote showcase luxury properties, interior design and profiles of professionals in relevant fields.
A grid serves as the contents page to display each editorial section.
And for an element of fun, there’s a bonus section of humorous design vignettes to keep readers coming back for more.
WEBSITE
The Well-Planned Divorce
This website presents serious information in clear terms without jargon. It serves as an easy resource for couples wanting to go their separate ways by first preparing for divorce mediation.
Naturally, planning a major life change gives rise to stress.
That’s why the site offers a quick and easy way to find information with a set of icons for the six possible terms of a divorce agreement:
Parenting Plan
Division of Assets
Monthly Budgets
Child Support
Alimony
Pet Arrangements.
The intended outcome is to be well-informed about the details necessary to negotiate a divorce as smoothly swiftly as possible.
As the tagline states: “Because life comes in chapters.”
PRESENTATION
Are You Zoom-Ready?
A presentation must not be a snore. It can be informative, but should also have an element of entertainment to capture an audience’s attention — and entice them to hear more.
This presentation was designed as a PowerPoint deck, which can easily transform into video with voiceover audio.
The subject matter reviews how a virtual meeting can engage or distract an audience with an appropriate — or inappropriate — background.
WEBINAR
How to Create a PowerPoint Presentation — That Keeps Them in Their Seats
The cover picture for this webinar — How to Create a PowerPoint Presentation — matches the all-important subtitle: That Keeps Them in Their Seats.
Inside, the deck presents the essential elements of structuring a lesson the audience can easily follow and retain. They’ll appreciate a natural flow of information and logical sequence of material — regardless of the topic the instructor delivers.
Structure — along with relevant graphs, pictures, color and text — is the backbone of a successful instructional design.
